·Registered as an official member of IAG under the name of the Korean Geriatric Society

1990

1991

·Application for AOCG conference in Seoul under the name of the Korean Geriatrics Association.(1991 President of the Korean Geriatrics Association_Professor Yoonsuk Lee)

1993

·Inaugurated as the Association of Korean Old Men, Elderly Diseases, and Labor Chemistry (combined with the convention).

1994

·Inaugurated as the first president of the Association of Society, Ko Chang-soon, president of the Korean Aging Society.

1995

·1996 The 6th AOCG Conference in Seoul was decided at the Hong Kong Conference.
- Professor Gene Yoon, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the 6th AOCG Conference in 1995

1996

·Professor Gene Yoon(Yonsei University) inaugurated as the 2nd president of the Association.
- 1995 6th AOCG Conference Preparatory Committee. Professor Heung-Bong Cha, Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

1997

·Changed the name of the IAG member at the 16th World Geriatrics Conference (Marade, Australia) and transferred the member organization from the Korean Geriatrics Association to the Federation of Korean Senior Science Association.
·The Korean Geriatrics Association, the Korean Aging Society, and the Korean Geriatrics Association as members from the Ministry of Health and Welfare
·Permission to establish the “Korean Federation of Senior Science and Academic Organizations”. ·The 6th AOCG Seoul Conference Organizing Committee established under the association. (Professor Heung-bong,Cha, chairman of the organizing committee) Prof. Sunja Lee (President of the Korean Association for the Elderly) was inaugurated as the first president of the Association.
·Professor Sunja Lee inaugurated as the 3rd president of the Association.

1999

·March 6th AOCG Seoul Organizing Committee Organizing Committee Chair. Prof. Sung-Jae Choi inaugurated.
·Held the 6th AOCG (Asia/Oceania Regional International Geriatrics Contest) Seoul (Hotel InterContinental Seoul).
·Prof. Gun-Yeol Kim (Korean Society for the Elderly) was inaugurated as the 2nd president of the Federation.

2000

2001

·Appointed 3 members (Sungjae Choi, Sangchul Park, Youngsu Lee) to the IAG Council members.
Participated in the 17th World Geriatrics Conference (WCG, Vancouver, Canada).
·IAGG board of directors decided with three Korean directors.
·Application to host the 19th IAG World Congress in Seoul.
·Professor Sang-cheol Park (Korea Aging Society) inaugurated as the 3rd president of the Association.
·Requested to increase the number of Korean directors to IAG (one for each of the three academic societies).

2003

·Joined as a member of the Korean Academy of Elderly Psychiatry.
Inauguration of Professor Cha Heung-bong as the 3rd president of the Federation(Korean Geriatrics Association, former Minister of Health and Welfare)

2004

·Expanded to 4,521 members (professors, experts, welfare facilities for the elderly, etc.)
·Membership of the Korean Society for the Elderly Diseases (about 3,000 members)
·Held the Seoul International Academic Conference for the Elderly (Invited by 6 people including G. Gutman, Chairman of IAG)
·Establishment of the Aging Society Forum Committee
Preparatory activities to host the 20th IAGG World Conference started.

2005

·Prof. Byung-Gil Yeon (Korean Association for Geriatrics Psychiatry) inaugurated as the 5th president of the Association.
·Prof. Byung-Gil Yeon (Korean Academy of Elderly Psychiatry) inaugurated as the 5th president of the Federation
·2013 20th IAGG Conference Organizing Committee established. Professor Heung-bong Cha was appointed as the chairman of the organizing committee.
At the 18th IAG Conference (Brazil rio de Janeiro), the name of the IAG was decided to be changed to the name International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics Association (IAGG),

·Hosted Seoul International Senior Conference Special Lecture by Dr. Gloria Gutman

2008

·Prof. Hyung-Jun Yoo, the 6th president of the Federation, inaugurated.

·Attended the 19th IAGG conference in Paris, France

·Prof. In-kyung Lim (Korean Society of Gerontology) inaugurated as the 7th president of the Association.

·Professor Tae-Hyun Kim (The Korea Gerontological Society) inaugurated as the 8th President of the Association.

·Hosted the 20th IAGG in Seoul
(The 20th World congress of International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics)

·Prof. Oh Byung-Hoon (Korean Academy of Elderly Psychiatry) inaugurated as the 9th president of the Association.

2015

·Restarted the 19th session of the Aging Society Forum.

·Professor Jong-ryul Yoon (The Korean Geriatrics Society) was inaugurated as the 10th president of the Association.

2018

·Professor Hyun-sook Kim (Korean Society of Gerontology) inaugurated as the 11th president of the Association.
·Joined as a member of the Korean Gerontological Nursing Society, The Korean Academy of Long-Term Care

·Prof. Young-hee Won (The Korea Gerontological Society) inaugurated as the 12th president of the Association

·Prof. Seong-yoon Kim (Korean Academy of Elderly Psychiatry) inaugurated as the 13th president of the Association.

·Prof. Yong-Kyun ROH (The Korean Geriatrics Society) inaugurated as the 14th president of the Association.
